To meet these challenges, there are various commercial experts providing real time tracking systems which can be interlaced with existing corporate systems for monitoring, using simple but secure web-portal access via any intelligent device with internet access. It is therefore possible for any pre-determined client member of staff to follow a vehicle or person travelling thousands of miles away, to have such movements viewed on their tablet, computer or web-enabled phone at any time of the day. In the event of an incident, which could be as simple as a breakdown or more serious such as a road traffic accident, a panic alarm can be set off which in turn will provoke a pre-arranged response be it recovery or a deployment of QRF assets to assist.

In addition, there are fleet vehicle management systems which track distance, speed, fuel consumption and other driver enabled indicators to ensure any internal quality assurance requirements are met and importantly, are logged for audit purposes.
